Diocesan School for Girls is a high performing independent Anglican School with girls who are motivated to learn. Foundation Class girls have access to state of the art educational and sporting facilities; specialist teachers; and it is a place of innovation and inspiration, where we help girls develop skills for the ever-changing world.
Located within the Junior School we have a small license for 40 children. We are proud of the varied, and inspirational programme on offer to our girls through the inquiry based PYP framework and Te Whāriki. Our Foundation Class is safe & nurturing; and also a haven for engagement, exploration, and meaningful interactions and learning.
We strongly believe that behind every great school is a great team of people, and we are now looking for an Early Childhood Educator to join us in Term 3, 2024 on a fixed term contract until December 2025. Along with sharing our values of honesty, integrity, respectfulness & empathy, you will be: -
• Passionate and committed to the education and care of our girls so they learn, grow and thrive in a safe learning environment.
• Committed to being part of a helpful, considerate, respectful, and collegial team.
• A qualified and New Zealand registered ECE Teacher, who is dedicated in implementing our New Zealand curriculum, Te Whāriki , in a successful and meaningful way.
• Knowledge of the PYP Programme and pedagogy of Reggio Emilia would be an advantage.
