Job Description
Mō te tūranga: About the role
In this strategic and future-focused role, you will guide and direct the application of digital technologies across the School’s curriculum, ensuring alignment with Dio’s strategic objectives and best practice in contemporary education.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading all academic aspects of ICT in teaching and learning.
• Advising and supporting the Head of Senior School, Head of Junior School, Heads of Faculty, and the Deputy Principal Junior School on the effective use of digital technologies.
• Overseeing academic use of key administration systems such as the LMS and SIS.
• Collaborating closely with the ISS Manager on curriculum programmes, equipment provision, and maintenance.
• Managing annual budgeting for software, hardware, and digital peripherals used in teaching and learning.
• Ensuring platforms and systems meet academic needs while balancing usability with safety and security.
• Providing guidance and information to parents and students on digital technologies.
• Leading and contributing to Professional Development to enhance staff capability with digital tools.
• Providing onboarding and basic instruction to new staff and students on equipment and systems.

• Proven experience in a similar digital learning, ICT leadership, or educational technology role
• Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
• A confident and highly skilled user of both Windows and Apple operating systems
• Expertise in Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft 365
• Wide-ranging knowledge of educational software and systems
• Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills
• The ability to work strategically while also supporting day-to-day digital technology needs
• A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and high standards
