Do you have a passion for Health and PE, and would love to teach in a supportive school with motivated students who are eager to learn? Would you like to work somewhere where you have all the resources you need to put your ideas for engaging and inspirational teaching and learning into action? Our Health and PE Faculty is looking for a new part time teacher.   Term 1 and Term 2, 2026. 

 

 

Job Description

You will be teaching 8 periods across a 7-day cycle, with 4 allocated planning periods, and there may also be opportunities for additional relief work. You’ll have the opportunity to shape student learning in a supportive, well-resourced, and future-focused environment where ideas are valued, student wellbeing is prioritised, and excellence is a shared goal.

We are looking for a passionate educator who is committed to teaching young women and fostering a supportive, high-trust, and collegial environment. You will be an innovative, dynamic, and engaging teacher, confident in teaching Health & PE at Year 8 level, with the possibility of teaching across other year levels if you also undertake relief teaching. Diocesan School for Girls offers students a dual pathway through NCEA and the International Baccalaureate, with NCEA taught in Years 11–13 and the IB Middle Years Programme taught in Years 7–10.
