We are seeking an inspiring and committed Deputy Principal to join the Head of Junior School in leading our exceptional team. This is a full-time, fixed term parental leave cover position for at least six months, offering a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within a supportive, well-resourced, and future-focused environment. We are an IB World School who use the PYP framework in the Junior School.
Job Description
Mō te tūranga: About the role
• Provide senior leadership across the Junior School, deputising for the Head
• Oversee the academic, pastoral, and operational life of the Junior School
• Ability to be the PYP Coordinator desirable
• Build a collaborative and cohesive team across all teaching and specialist roles
• Lead key student transitions and events
• Fixed-term parental leave cover, approximately six months, commencing in Term 3, 2026

• Proven senior leadership experience in a primary school setting
• Comprehensive knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme
• A genuine commitment to excellence in student wellbeing and achievement

• A current and valid Practising Certificate issued by the Teaching Council of New Zealand
