We are now seeking a capable and reliable Campus Painter and Decorator to join our Campus team, helping us deliver the high standards and care we’re known for.

Job Description

Mō te tūranga:  About the role  
•    Keep our campus gleaming — Prepare surfaces and apply paint, varnish, stains, and protective coatings to interior and exterior surfaces 
•    Make your mark — Hang wallpaper and vinyl wall coverings, and apply specialist decorative finishes such as glazing, marbling, and wood graining 
•    Work safely at every level — Set up and manage work areas safely including scaffolding and ladders — scaffold licence and working at heights experience preferred 
•    Plan, estimate, and deliver — Estimate materials, undertake general maintenance tasks, and ensure all sites are left clean and ready for use 
•    Collaborate and comply — Work in accordance with Health & Safety requirements and collaborate with the Campus Maintenance team, contractors, and school staff to deliver projects to a high standard
•    Bring a positive, proactive, and inclusive mindset to your daily work

Desired Skills and Experience

Ngā pūkenga me whai: We’re looking for someone with
•    Proven experience in a similar role or as a commercial or residential painter and decorator. Trade qualification would be desirable 
•    Strong painting and decorating skills across interior and exterior applications
•    Excellent attention to detail and colour accuracy
•    Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments
•    Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
•    Strong understanding of safety procedures and safe work practices
